Review: Freya Luna

For almost a year now my skin has been a complete mess. A combination of hormones running riot, emotional upheaval, major stresses and complete lifestyle changes have resulted in acne, hypersensitivity, hyper-pigmentation, eczema and major dullness.

When faced with a situation like this the world of skincare suddenly becomes a scary and dangerous one as an extreme reaction can be triggered by almost anything. A lot of what is sold to us as "the best solutions" can cost an unbelievably high price that very few of us can afford on a regular basis.

So what do you choose for the best?

My answer is always the same - gentle, simple, and with as few ingredients as possible.

This is how I discovered Freya Luna Created by Sami Blackford, Freya Luna is committed to "making the best possible skincare products in the nicest possible way". Containing no nasties or harsh ingredients, Freya Luna has been an absolute saviour for my distressed skin.

My favourite product is the skin support cleansing cream.
It is creamy, nourishing, smells incredible and, once removed with a face cloth, neither leaves any residue nor leaves my face feeling stripped or tight.
I use it as the second step in my nightly double-cleanse routine to ensure that every scrap of makeup is removed from my face and it is highly effective at doing just that.

And the best thing? It is completely affordable. One bottle lasts me just over three months using 1-2 pumps every night (and often in the mornings too) which is more than enough to provide a luxurious massage for my entire face/neck.

I also really like the shine control range, especially the moisturiser.

Next on my list to try?

Have you suffered with distressed skin and, if so, what products do you reach for?
