Get to Know Me: Tashi Skervin

Are you all ready for another Get to Know Me feature? The response to our first interview, two weeks ago, was phenomenal and so we want to keep the momentum going by introducing you to another beautiful creature who can be found on the internet, Tashi Skervin.
Tashi is a sports journalist and fitness blogger living in London (nope, we're not jealous at all either). She began her blog, tashiskervin.com, back in 2014 as a place to share recipes, fitness tips, travel experiences and all things relating to her fabulous lifestyle. Her posts are light-hearted, chatty and always motivational (as are the length of her legs and the lack of cellulite you'll find there, see image above ^^^).
We fell in love with Tashi, and her blog, the second we laid eyes on it and we hope you do too...

COMMENT: What made you decide to begin your blog / channel / business etc. and what does it offer to people?
TASHI: I originally started blogging because I am in love with writing and I wanted to create a place where I could store all of my ideas, tips, thoughts and recipes. Since then, my blog has evolved into a lifestyle and fitness blog that offers exercise tips, travel guides and lifestyle posts to inspire people to get the most out of life.

C: What is the biggest hurdle you have had to overcome with regard to your blog / channel / business etc. and how did you overcome it?
T: I think the biggest hurdle that I have faced, is that I don’t always have time to blog! I work full time and sometimes when I get home from work, I would much rather curl up with an episode of Pretty Little Liars than write a blog post! I try to plan my posts in advance and I usually write them at the weekends…but this doesn’t always happen!

C: What is your Friday afternoon indulgence?
T: I don’t really have one! I am all about Saturday indulgences which is usually a Byron burger and chips with a couple glasses of prosecco!

C: Your idea of a perfect weekend is...
T: One the starts with a fast 5km run, and end with me being surrounded by my favourite people in a room filled with laughter.

C: Here at COMMENT we love Brunch. Where is your favourite Brunch spot?
T: Rabot 1745 in Borough! Every dish on the menu contains cacao…chocolate! It’s really reasonably priced too.

C: What 3 things can you not leave home without?
T: My iphone, iphone charger and headphones! Oh, and my Oyster card.

C: Who are your idols, mentors, people that make you fan-girl, and why?
T: I am a big fan of Serena Williams. She is an incredible athlete and a remarkable woman. In all of her success she has remained humble and although she’s the best (the stats don’t lie), she still wants to be better. I have learned a lot from Serena Williams.

C: What is your top tip for a Monday morning?
T: COFFEE!

C: What is your morning routine?
T: I wake up at around 6am and head out for a 5km run at 6.30. I return home just before 7am, which leaves me an hour to get ready for work. After I finish showering and getting changed, I make breakfast, which is usually boiled eggs, smoked salmon and vegetables, and I sit down to eat it as I watch Sky Sports News to prepare me for the day ahead.

Complete this sentence: In 5 years' time I would like to be...
Where I am meant to be, so I am working hard now to make sure that it happens. Whatever ‘it’ is!
