COMMENTING #2

It's that time of the week again where I tell you what has been on my radar and can hopefully provide you with some thoughts, interests and reading for the weekend...

Instagram - foxmeetsbear an account that looks like something belonging to Kinfolk. Rustic, sultry and overall beautiful with a fabulously photogenic little girl who never appears to be shy of the camera.

Song - The Sango remix of Little Dragon's Ritual Union may not be new but I rediscovered it the other day and have not stopped playing it since. Some nice chilled vibes for the weekend.

Look - via Faces by the Sartorialist this look is all kinds of wonderful. There is not one thing that I can fault and, quite frankly, would just like to be this lady... whoever she is.

Blog - Aptly entitled Your Coffee Breakthis blog is more of an online magazine and has some great articles that can be read quickly for both inspiration and light relief. The perfect pick-me-up (and distraction) for those boring desk days.

Article - "The best words are the ones with no English equivalent" reads the first line of this article, written by Sarah Wilson, explaining the definitions and origins of some frequently used words in her home land of Australia. Language is such a beautiful thing isn't it? I love discovering new words, especially those that have particular poetic beauty.

Workout - After a super busy, and calorific, couple of weeks I was left feeling exhausted and the last thing I wanted to do was workout this week. But, as we all know, that is the start of a very slippery and excuse-filled slope. Instead of putting loads of pressure on myself I have been gentle doing exercises such as these throughout the day and 20 minute yoga sessions in the evenings. Remember, even a small workout is better than no workout!

Treat - I have been trying to be really good this week and avoid all things white and refined, particularly after gorging myself silly in London. BUT, I have a really aggressive sweet tooth and so little truffles such as these from Hemsley & Hemsley are on my "to make" list in time for the weekend.

Topic to Discuss - So, this may have technically happened last week (depending on when you believe the week begins) but Sunday 8th March saw International Women's Day and, to mark the occasion, the STUNNINGLY gorgeous Emma Watson took to the stage and did a live Q&A on Facebook. I was still skipping round London and therefore missed the whole thing but quickly caught up on Monday. Just wow. This women is brilliant. She is classy, smart, modest and such an inspiration for myself as well as many other young ladies in the world I'm sure. Her moving speech at the UN back in September has roused so many people to want to take further action against gender equality and has raised much awareness for the wonderful campaign HeForShe. If you haven't seen the speech, or are unaware of the campaign, then I urge you to check them both out and get involved if you feel compelled to do so.
I just love you Emma, please be my friend.

Quote - "You are terrifying and strange and beautiful, not someone everyone knows how to love." - Warsan Shire.
